- 1½ lbs ground beef
- 2 cans (15 oz each) tomato sauce
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 8 oz sour cream
- 2 tsp garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning

- Season the beef with garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir in the sugar and tomato sauce, then simmer for 5 minutes to let the flavors meld.
- In a separate bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with sour cream until smooth and creamy.
- Layer the casserole:
- Spread half of the noodles in the baking dish.
- Top with half of the cream mixture, then half of the meat sauce.
- Repeat the layers one more time with the remaining ingredients.
- Top it all off with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
Pro Tip:
Let it rest for 5–10 minutes before serving—this helps the layers set for easier slicing.
