Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 tsp olive oil
- 5–6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 cups beef broth
- 8 oz bowtie pasta
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- ¾ cup half and half (or whole milk)
- ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes
- 1–2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Brown the beef: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Sauté aromatics: Add garlic and onion to the skillet. Cook for 2–3 minutes until soft and fragrant.
- Season: Stir in Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, and smoked paprika. Cook for 1 minute to blend flavors.
- Build the base: Add butter and let it melt. Pour in beef broth, bring to a simmer, and cook for 3–4 minutes to reduce slightly.
- Cook pasta: Meanwhile, boil bowtie pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Make it creamy: Stir in half and half (or milk) and Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy.
- Final touch: Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Let the sauce simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Toss and serve: Add cooked pasta to the skillet. Mix well to coat evenly in the sauce. Top with chopped parsley and serve hot.
