Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 tsp olive oil
  • 5–6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 8 oz bowtie pasta
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¾ cup half and half (or whole milk)
  • ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1–2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Brown the beef: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Sauté aromatics: Add garlic and onion to the skillet. Cook for 2–3 minutes until soft and fragrant.
  3. Season: Stir in Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, and smoked paprika. Cook for 1 minute to blend flavors.
  4. Build the base: Add butter and let it melt. Pour in beef broth, bring to a simmer, and cook for 3–4 minutes to reduce slightly.
  5. Cook pasta: Meanwhile, boil bowtie pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  6. Make it creamy: Stir in half and half (or milk) and Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy.
  7. Final touch: Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Let the sauce simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  8. Toss and serve: Add cooked pasta to the skillet. Mix well to coat evenly in the sauce. Top with chopped parsley and serve hot.
