👩🍳 Instructions
1. Prepare the Creamy Mashed Potatoes
Boil the chopped potatoes in salted water for 15–20 minutes, until fork-tender.
Drain and mash with milk and butter until smooth and fluffy.
Season with salt to taste and keep warm.
2. Cook the Broccoli
Steam or sauté the broccoli with olive oil and a pinch of salt for 5–7 minutes, until bright green and tender-crisp. Set aside.
3. Sear the Steaks
Pat steaks dry and season generously with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet (cast iron preferred) over medium-high heat.
Cook for 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness.
Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes.
4. Sauté the Shrimp in Garlic Butter
In the same skillet, melt 4 tbsp butter and add minced garlic.
Sauté for 30 seconds, then add the shrimp.
Cook for 2 minutes per side, spooning garlic butter over the shrimp as they cook until pink and opaque.
5. Assemble the Plate
Add mashed potatoes and broccoli to each plate.
Top with steak and shrimp. Drizzle leftover garlic butter from the pan over everything.
Serve with a warm dinner roll and garnish with fresh parsley and lemon wedges if desired.
