
Garlic Butter & Herb Roast Chicken 🍗🧄
This tender, juicy, and flavorful roast chicken is a family favorite! Roasted to golden perfection with garlic, butter, and fresh herbs, it’s crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside. Perfect for Sunday dinners or special occasions!
📝 Ingredients:
4 lb whole chicken 🐔
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted 🧈
3 tbsp olive oil 🫒
¼ cup white wine 🍷
1 lemon, halved 🍋
Salt & black pepper (to taste)
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped 🌿
9 garlic cloves (4 minced, 5 whole) 🧄
3 sprigs fresh rosemary 🌿
1 sprig fresh thyme 🌿
🔥 Instructions:
1️⃣ Preheat & Prepare:
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Line a baking tray with foil or grease a roasting pan.
2️⃣ Season the Chicken:
Remove the neck & giblets from the chicken cavity and trim excess fat.
Pat the chicken dry with paper towels for a crispier skin.
Pour olive oil, melted butter, white wine, and lemon juice (from half a lemon) over the chicken, under the skin, and inside the cavity.
Season well with salt, pepper, and parsley.
Rub minced garlic all over the chicken, making sure to get some under the skin.
3️⃣ Stuff & Roast:
Stuff the chicken cavity with:
✅ Whole garlic cloves 🧄
✅ Rosemary sprigs 🌿
✅ Squeezed lemon half 🍋Place the chicken breast-side up in the prepared roasting pan.
Roast for 1 hour and 20 minutes, basting with pan juices halfway through.
4️⃣ Rest & Serve:
Once the chicken is golden brown and cooked through (juices run clear when pierced), remove from the oven.
Tent with foil and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Serve with the remaining lemon half & pan juices for extra flavor!
