Tender, juicy steak smothered in a silky, savory onion gravy – this dish is pure comfort in every bite. Perfect for cozy dinners, special occasions, or whenever you’re craving something deeply flavorful and satisfying.


🛒 Ingredients:

  • 4 beef steaks (about 1 inch thick)
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

👨‍🍳 Directions:

  1. Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Sear the steaks for about 4–5 minutes per side or until cooked to your preferred doneness. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter. Toss in the sliced onions and garlic. Cook over medium heat, stirring often, until onions become golden and deeply caramelized — about 15 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the onions, stir to coat, and cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Slowly pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring constantly. Bring to a simmer and cook until the gravy thickens, around 5 minutes.
  6. Return the steaks to the skillet, spoon the rich gravy over them, and let them simmer together for 3–4 minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley, serve hot, and enjoy with mashed potatoes, rice, or crusty bread!
