Ingredients
- 4 boneless pork chops
- 1 tbsp oil or butter
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 small onion, sliced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). - Season & Sear the Chops:
Season pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides. Heat oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat and brown the chops for 2–3 minutes per side. You’re just searing, not fully cooking them. - Layer in Baking Dish:
Place the browned pork chops in a baking dish. Spread the sliced onions evenly over the top. - Mix the Sauce:
In a bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and milk until smooth. - Bake:
Pour the sauce mixture over the pork chops and onions. Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the pork is tender and cooked through. - Serve & Enjoy:
Serve warm over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles to soak up the delicious creamy sauce.
Serving Tip:
Garnish with fresh parsley or a sprinkle of paprika for added color and flavor!
