Comfort food made easy. Juicy beef, buttery garlic, fluffy rice, and melty cheddar-Parmesan sauce — all in one pan. A guaranteed family favorite!
🛒 Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small yellow onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp dried thyme
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup long-grain white rice (uncooked)
- 2¼ cups beef broth (low-sodium recommended)
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
👨🍳 Directions:
1️⃣ Brown the Beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and ground beef. Cook for 6–8 minutes, breaking up the meat, until browned. Drain excess grease if needed.
2️⃣ Sauté the Aromatics
Push beef to one side. On the other, melt butter and add garlic and onion. Sauté for 2–3 minutes until fragrant and softened.
3️⃣ Season the Mixture
Stir in paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper. Combine well to coat the beef with flavor.
4️⃣ Toast the Rice
Add the uncooked rice, stir for 1 minute to toast lightly and absorb flavor.
5️⃣ Simmer to Cook
Pour in beef broth. Stir everything together, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low.
Cover and simmer for 18–20 minutes, or until rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed.
6️⃣ Make It Creamy
Stir in the heavy cream, cheddar, and Parmesan cheese. Mix until the cheese is melted and everything turns creamy and dreamy.
7️⃣ Garnish & Serve
Turn off heat, top with fresh parsley, and serve hot straight from the skillet.
