This one-dish wonder is comfort food at its finest! Creamy, flavorful, and incredibly easy to make, this Chicken & Rice Casserole is a family favorite that requires minimal effort and clean-up.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup uncooked long-grain white rice
- 2 cups water
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 (10.5 oz) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch casserole dish with cooking spray.
- Season the chicken with salt and pepper, then place in the casserole dish.
- Add the rice over the chicken, then sprinkle the onion soup mix evenly on top.
- Mix the mushroom soup and water together, then pour evenly over everything in the dish.
- Cover tightly with foil and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the chicken is fully cooked.
- Serve warm and enjoy! Add a side salad or steamed veggies to complete the meal.
