Fast, fresh, and full of flavor — this Chicken and Green Onion Stir-Fry brings the perfect balance of savory, sweet, and aromatic. Ideal for busy weeknights, this one-pan meal is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser!


Ingredients:

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

3 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp cornstarch

1 tbsp vegetable oil

1 bunch green onions, chopped (separate white and green parts)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced

1/4 cup chicken broth

1 tbsp honey

Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Chicken:
    In a bowl, toss the chicken pieces with soy sauce and cornstarch until well coated. Let it sit for 10–15 minutes while you prep the other ingredients — this will make the chicken tender and flavorful.
  2. Cook the Chicken:
    Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the chicken in a single layer and cook for 5–7 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
  3. Sauté Aromatics:
    In the same pan, add the white parts of the green onions along with the garlic and ginger. Sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant and lightly golden.
  4. Build the Sauce:
    Pour in the chicken broth and honey. Stir to combine, scraping up any browned bits from the pan for extra flavor. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer.
  5. Combine & Finish:
    Return the cooked chicken to the pan. Toss to coat it evenly in the sauce and cook for another 1–2 minutes until heated through and slightly glossy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve & Garnish:
    Top with the chopped green parts of the green onions and serve immediately over steamed rice or noodles.

Cooking Time: 25 minutes
Serves: 3–4

Tip: Add a splash of sesame oil or a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds at the end for an extra flavor boost. For a spicier twist, stir in a pinch of red pepper flakes.
