Golden potatoes + juicy, flavorful beef = ultimate comfort food in just 40 minutes!
🛒 Ingredients:
For the Crispy Potatoes:
- 3 medium Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes, peeled & diced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
For the Saucy Beef:
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef or small beef cubes
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 red bell pepper, diced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
👨🍳 Instructions:
- Crisp the Potatoes:
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add diced potatoes and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and crispy.
Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Remove from pan and set aside. - Cook the Beef:
In the same skillet, add the ground beef (or beef cubes) and cook over medium heat until browned and fully cooked.
If using ground beef, break it apart with a spatula. Drain excess fat if needed. - Add the Aromatics:
Stir in chopped onion, garlic, and diced red pepper. Sauté for 3–4 minutes until soft and fragrant. - Make It Saucy:
In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, tomato paste, ketchup, honey, water, and red pepper flakes.
Pour into the skillet and stir well. Let simmer for 5–6 minutes until slightly reduced and the beef is coated in the rich sauce. - Bring It Together:
Return the crispy potatoes to the skillet. Toss everything together so the potatoes get coated in all that savory goodness.
Cook for another 1–2 minutes to heat through. - Serve & Enjoy:
Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley and serve warm. It’s perfect as a hearty main dish or a cozy side!
