🔥 Barbecued Ribs

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs pork ribs
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Your favorite barbecue sauce

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C).
  2. Season ribs with salt and pepper. Place them on a foil-lined baking sheet.
  3. Cover with foil and bake for 2 hours, until tender.
  4. Remove from oven, discard foil, and brush generously with barbecue sauce.
  5. Increase oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Bake 30 minutes, brushing with more sauce every 10 minutes until sticky and caramelized.

🍗 Barbecued Chicken Quarters

Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken leg quarters
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Your favorite barbecue sauce

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season chicken and place in a baking dish.
  3. Bake for 25 minutes, then brush with barbecue sauce.
  4. Continue baking 35–40 minutes, basting every 10 minutes until fully cooked and caramelized.

🍠 Candied Yams

Ingredients:

  • 4 large yams, peeled and cubed (1-inch pieces)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter and stir in sugar, water, spices, and salt. Simmer until it forms a syrup.
  3. Pour syrup over yams in a baking dish and toss to coat.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  5. Remove foil, stir, and bake uncovered for another 20–30 minutes, until tender and glossy.
