
🔥 Barbecued Ribs
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs pork ribs
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Your favorite barbecue sauce
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C).
- Season ribs with salt and pepper. Place them on a foil-lined baking sheet.
- Cover with foil and bake for 2 hours, until tender.
- Remove from oven, discard foil, and brush generously with barbecue sauce.
- Increase oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake 30 minutes, brushing with more sauce every 10 minutes until sticky and caramelized.
🍗 Barbecued Chicken Quarters
Ingredients:
- 4 chicken leg quarters
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Your favorite barbecue sauce
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season chicken and place in a baking dish.
- Bake for 25 minutes, then brush with barbecue sauce.
- Continue baking 35–40 minutes, basting every 10 minutes until fully cooked and caramelized.
🍠 Candied Yams
Ingredients:
- 4 large yams, peeled and cubed (1-inch pieces)
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup water
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- ¼ tsp ground cloves
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, melt butter and stir in sugar, water, spices, and salt. Simmer until it forms a syrup.
- Pour syrup over yams in a baking dish and toss to coat.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil, stir, and bake uncovered for another 20–30 minutes, until tender and glossy.
